BAY FISHING GUIDE
Bay fishing is the most popular kind of fishing and the one that offers easy access by boat, shore or piers.

LOWER LAGUNA MADRE
The Lower Laguna Madre is a is a long shallow hypersaline bay along the Texas coast between South Padre Island on the tip of Texas and goes about twenty miles north of Port Mansfield, Texas. Most of the bay is very shallow and inaccessible to deep draft boats. Special shallow draft bay boats are used in the area to get in and out of much of the shallow flats that contain large numbers of fish, notably reds. There are many fishing guides that specialize in sight casting for fish in these shallow clear waters.
SOUTH BAY
South Bay is located on the southern tip of Texas just a few miles from South Padre Island.
It is a very shallow bay known for good fishing for Reds and Snook. South Bay is difficult to get out of at low tide. Many boats get stuck when they drift out of the channels. South Bay is an important hatchery for many fish species along the coast. The grass in this bay gets a lot of damage from boat propellers and it fragile ecosystem is feeling it. It is recommend to fish this bay with an experienced guide who operates a very low draft boat.
